ROSEWOOD 4.0 reaches the halfway point by promoting innovation in the wood value chain

Nearing its halfway point, the ROSEWOOD 4.0 project is intensifying its activity and the search for selection and promotion of the best practices detected in relation to the sustainable mobilisation of wood in Europe. Thus, last month 18 new practices from 12 European countries were presented (among many others that are being identified and will be published on the project’s Knowledge Platform in the coming months), during a meeting of the partners of the Southwest Europe hub with the expert advisors in innovation and the wood industry and with the collaboration of the other hubs.

This new selection will help to complete the roadmap that will serve as a reference for companies in sectors located in all ROSEWOOD regional hubs in Europe in order to develop with the best technologies currently in use.

In addition, the entire ROSEWOOD 4.0 consortium met last week to discuss the progress of the project, which is about to reach its halfway point (its first year). Each hub (five of which are part of the project) presented the results obtained so far and the leaders of each work package defined the objectives achieved and the points pending for the coming months in which they will begin to publish 50 European best practices, the roadmaps for each region of Europe, events of interest and learning tools to boost access to the digital resources that will enhance the wood industry 4.0.
