ROSEWOOD4.0 Study Visit – Digitalization in the poplar sector event

From 14 to 16 June, the ‘Poplar Week’ will take place in Leon (Spain), organised by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León and the Rosewood 4.0 project, with the collaboration of the Cesefor Foundation (Hub manager in the South-West Hub).

The aim is to show poplar cultivation and management techniques and to present the opportunities it offers. Designed to promote entrepreneurship and new business models around poplar farming, the activity is aimed at public and private forest owners, companies in the timber sector, forestry and environmental consultancy professionals, universities and research centres.

From the ROSEWOOD4.0 project we are pleased to invite you to our South-West Hub Study Visit that will take place in León, Spain, and also online.

  • 15 June, Tuesday afternoon 15:00. Digitalisation of the poplar sector (also online)

We welcome the attendance and participation of project partners, including presentations of related BPs from other countries.

  • 16 June, Wednesday morning 9:00. Field visits to several companies in the sawmill industry, plantations and nurseries near León.

For those participants attending Poplar Week in person, please note that after this event will be organised in the town of Tineo, Asturias (Spain) the international forestry fair Asturforesta 2021 between 17 and 19 June. This event is dedicated to professionals in silviculture, forestry and biomass.
