What kind of policy frameworks, instruments and initiatives are needed to support sustainable wood mobilisation in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland)? The Wood2Excellence workshop presents the results of the ROSEWOOD network's research on the status of wood mobilisation in the region and policy recommendations based on the project's in-depth analysis of regional strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities for transfer of best practices in forestry and wood processing from across Europe. Topics addressed in the keynotes are forest resilience in light of climate change, challenges for cooperation and integration of the forestry and wood sector as well as chances of the renaissance of wood construction for the sector.

Stakeholders are invited to share their views and discuss new governance models and measures for a competitive, future oriented forest and wood management.
