Best Practice & Innovation – Virtual Forest 2.0 (Finland)
ROSEWOOD4.0 Northern Hub features in this video “Virtual Forest 2.0” as a best practice and innovation from Finland aimed at enabling efficient visualisation of forest resources and spatial data in 3D.
ROSEWOOD4.0 harnesses digital solutions and boosts knowledge transfer to connect multiple actors along the forest value chain to reinforce the sustainability of wood mobilisation in Europe. As a way to promote these digital solutions, the project launched a series of videos to enhance the visibility of advanced and cutting-edge practices and innovations throughout Europe. In this video ROSEWOOD4.0 presents Finland’s Virtual Forest 2.0, which is a new innovation tool based in 3D technology that can be used in participatory planning of land use and as a guidance of forest owners.
